Who's that girl? Gemma Collins looks unrecognisable without her heavy slap as she makes a mad dash past a pasty shop

She's known for her love of false eyelashes and bright lipgloss so The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins cut an almost unrecognisable figure as she stepped out make-up free on Thursday.

The curvy reality star, who's usually a fan of attention-grabbing colours and sparkles, seemed to be in a bit of a hurry as she didn't even have time to pop into a pasty shop as she was spotted sprinting past, covering up her bare face.

Gemma was recently humiliated by James Argent after it emerged that he had dumped her by text message, but rekindled the flame with former boyfriend Rami soon afterwards.

While head-to-toe black can be slimming, the 31-year-old TV star looked washed out as she dashed into the post office clutching a letter and her bank card.

Gemma matched a pair of skin-tight black leggings with a black T-shirt and covered herself up with a huge, Russian-style, black coat.

The star, who is usually plastered in make-up went completely fresh-faced for her outing, presenting a very different face to the world than she does on TOWIE.

The Essex-born star, who usually takes pride in her luscious, long hair scraped her blonde locks back into a messy ponytail.

The only hint of the old Gemma Collins was a pair of neon pink trainers that she added to break up the black ensemble.

As soon as the clothes designer realised that she'd been spotted, she immediately wrapped her coat around her face, clearly ashamed to be seen out without her usual slap.

On Wednesday night's show, the outspoken star broke down in tears after coming face to face with ex-boyfriend, Arg.

The busty blonde couldn't contain her emotions as the club singer popped by her house to pick up his Playstation.

Despite ending the meeting on good terms, Gemma still seemed cut up about the way the couple's relationship had ended.

Her boyfriend's been in training to run a half marathon this weekend, so it seems like TOWIE's Gemma Collins has been eating for the both of them.

The bubbly reality star, who has always struggled with her weight, took a break from a hectic day's shopping in her native Brentwood in Essex yesterday (Saturday) to have some lunch at KFC.

Despite spending a lot of time and effort trying to get in shape at boot camp, Gemma seems to have resigned herself to current weight and would rather tuck into a tasty meal than worry about calories.

The much-loved reality star had been visiting former TOWIE cast member Amy Childs at her boutique earlier in the day and had clearly worked up a hunger.

With a box of popcorn chicken in front of her, she didn't waste much time in polishing off the fried food.

Wearing a loose-fitting pink and white sundress, Gemma seemed set on enjoying the last of the warm weather and showing off her holiday tan.

Wearing gold flip-flops and red aviators Gemma looked ready for a heatwave as she clutched bags of goodies from her friend's shop.

Despite their ups and downs, Gemma seems to have found love with co-star James Argent although she stayed in Essex this weekend while he travelled up to Newcastle to take part in The Great North Run.

The dark-haired TV star has also been struggling with his weight but seems to be taking steps to get down to a healthier size.

Although his girlfriend was nowhere to be seen, Arg tweeted a picture of himself at he start-line with Jenni Falconer, writing:
