Glitter or glamour? Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos go head-to-head again as they battle for the X Factor style crown

By Daily Mail Reporter

They step out onto the X Factor stage every week dressed to nines and fighting to be crowned the most fashionable judge.

And this week, both ladies put their best foot forward when it came to their style choices

Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos both looked stunning in totally different dresses, with Nicole opting for a sexy leather dress while the N-Dubz star sparkled from top to toe in a lilac sequin number.

Close call: Both Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos brought their A-game to X Factor's weekly style-off

Leather and sequins: Nicole opted for a sexy look this week while Tulisa kept it girly in a pastel dress

Nicole decided to bare some skin in a strapless black leather dress that hugged her enviable figure in all the right places.

The dress by Ermanno Scervino featured ruffles in the waistline which accentuated her great shape.

She teamed up the sexy little black dress with shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti and got into the English spirit as she pinned a poppy on her neckline.

Meanwhile, Tulisa stole the spotlight with a feminine dress with lilac sequins all over designed by Jovani.

I got you: Both ladies needed a little help from the male judges going down the steps in their high heels

Sexy mentor: Nicole sizzled during this week's show as her acts also continued to go from strength to strength

The mentor of the girls category let the eye-catching dress do all the taking as she left her long brown locks wavy and kept her make-up simple with a soft pink lip colour.

They were joined on stage by their fellow judges, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh, who both looked dapper in their signature suits as they helped the ladies down the steps in their stiletto heels.

Gary stayed true to his gentlemanly style and opted for a classic suit with a white shirt, while Louis kept his ensemble all black.

Lilac princess: Tulisa showed off a softer side of herself in this girly and sparkly little number

Despite looking glamorous and feminine in her great dress, Tulisa was upset she had to say goodbye to one of the girls she was mentoring, Lucy Spraggan.

The popular contestant decided to quit the show last week, and Tulisa took to Twitter to express her sadness.

'I'm so sorry to lose @lspraggan from the competition,' she wrote hours before the live show commenced.

'I have had a brilliant time working with her and I hope I can continue to mentor her in the future'.

'I now count her as a friend. She is an amazing girl. I love ya lucy, get well soon and my thoughts are with you. Xx'

'I felt so embarrassed and ashamed': Tulisa reveals sexually attack horror at 16 after her drink was spiked

Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she was sexually assaulted after being drugged when she was 16.

Recalling what started as a night out in friends in her new autobiography, the singer revealed how her 'fearless nature' put her in some horrible situations.

The now 24-year-old recalled how she had seen her friends putting pills in people's drinks and told them that she didn't want to get involved on the night the alleged attack took place.

In the book Honest: My Story So Far, which is being serialised by The Sun, Tulisa admits she even lied about having a heart condition in a bid to preventing her drink wouldn't get spiked.

As the evening progressed, she recalls all of a sudden feeling 'abnormally drunk', despite only having a few drinks.

Following a few dizzy spells, the Camden-born singer soon lost her footing and was escorted out of the club for fresh air.

Still haunting to talk about, Tulisa remembered: 'The next thing I remembered was waking up. lying in the back of a cab and seeing the street lights whizzing past me through the windows. I felt completely out of it, and I blacked out again.'

The next time the Young singer came around, she was in a strange bedroom.

Then... Tulisa rose to fame alongside cousin Dappy and Fazer as a member of N-Dubz

Now... The 24-year-old revealed that she never reported the attack to the police

And worse still, in regaining consciousness to her horror she found that her friend was having non-consensual sex with her before passing out again.

'I couldn't even move, let alone get up or speak, and once again I just blacked out. When I finally woke up in the morning I found myself in a strange house'.

In the morning as Tulisa tried to come to terms with what the person she had considered a 'friend' had done, she found herself greeted with a kind gesture.

The mother of the boy believed that the MOBO award-winner star was her son's girlfriend and offered to make her a cup of tea.

She admitted that she felt 'so embarrassed and ashamed' that she failed to tell the boy's mother what had really happened.

She continued: 'I went into the bathroom and burst into tears. Then I pulled myself together, got dressed, and left without saying another word, crying all the way home.'

Eight years on and the former N-Dubz star revealed that person who allegedly attacked her was never brought to justice as she never reported the crime.

Stating that she has now 'come to terms' with the ordeal, Tulisa did say that although she spoke out to friends about what had happened to her, confusion and her age played a big part in her not being courageous enough to seek police help or tell her family.

But ever the fighter, the singer boldly stated that had the attack taken place now, it would be a very different story given her newfound personal strength.

The tighter the better: Tulisa steps out in a unflattering short skirt as she promotes autobiography

By Emily Sheridan

Her dress sense is often savaged by fashion critics, with Tulisa herself admitting she doesn't spend much time on her wardrobe.

And as she filmed an appearance on Daybreak today (Tuesday), the X Factor judge stepped out in another unflattering outfit.

The former N-Dubz singer, 24, showed off a lot of leg in a super short and tight floral skirt, which she teamed with a clingy fuchsia vest.

Miss Independent: Tulisa admits she doesn't work out or follow fashion

The blonde star's top was so clingy it gave a clear outline of her bra underneath.

While the outfit was a tad too tight, she did accessorise well with a blue bag and green, black and blue heels, which complemented the colours in her skirt.

Her choice of outfit - or perhaps one put together by her stylist - comes after Tulisa admits she hates shopping and, unlike her contemporariness, doesn't work out.

She said: 'You can see from the curves that I'm not working out - it's just jelly! I swear on my mum's life I've never done a day's exercise.

Busy: Tulisa is promoting X Factor, her new single and her autobiography

'It's complicated, for me I'm not so much into fashion, or labels, or seasons or what's in, I don't care.

'I have a stylist that has to understand what I like to wear and get the stuff that I want. I just wanna wear what I like, so if I say to her, I like being glamorous but I wanna be urban so you have to make that work for me.'

Despite having grown up in London, Tulisa admitted she fantasises about moving to the country and growing her own vegetables.

Curly girlie: Tulisa wore another tight outfit as she took part in a webchat at her record label in Kensington last night

She said: 'I think about that every day. I get that thought at least one a day.'

She also hit out at fellow celebrities for being 'fake' and hoped she was more genuine.

She explained: 'I think the celebrities today, not all of them, but just the whole industry frustrates me because it is so fake. People pretend to be, a lot of the time, what they're not. And I don't know, it's just this whole façade that's being portrayed to the public which isn't the real case.

These are all real people and I just find it silly and unnecessary, and so I want to bring that realness to this industry and say well actually, I'm actually a human being, we're not all like that.'
