But, Cheryl Cole has showed that she truly doesn't care what the X Factor supremo thinks as she has brought back the big hair with a bang.
With a pearly white smile on her face, Cheryl, 29, whipped her hair into a large voluptuous style with added volume as she worked it for the camera.

The pop star was sporting the colossal look as she shot scenes for a L'Oreal Paris campaign, for which she is a spokesmodel.
Looking absolutely stunning with her brown locks taking centre stage, Cheryl explained that she is feeling better than ever.
Speaking to Hello! she said: 'I've grown as a person and as an artist, you can hear that in my music. I feel brand new.'

Having just completed her The Million Lights tour and feeling on cloud nine with new boyfriend Tre Holloway, it's no wonder Cheryl is feeling so good.

Cheryl's big hair was not such a hit with Simon Cowell when the pair were working together on the American X Factor.
In her new autobiography Cheryl: My Story, she described his comments as 'irritating beyond belief', after her told her to get rid of the big hair.
The singer, Cheryl who is reportedly worth around £12million as a result of her lucrative deals with brands such as L'Oréal, was replaced on the US X Factor with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, who is a judge on this year's UK series.
Cheryl said she made up with Cowell around six months later, with the mogul describing the decision to axe her as 'the worst mistake' of his life.
